So how long have you been thinking about that vacation at the beach? Land at the pet-friendly Pelican's Elbow and settle in for rest, relaxation and fun in the Florida sun! It's a short stroll to enjoy the emerald waters and sugar-sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico.
You'll have a spacious back yard with privacy fence, tropical landscaping and your own swimming pool, the largest in the neighborhood. The pool is "L-shaped," 28'1/2 feet long by 9-13 feet wide. Best of all, the pool is all yours – no sharing with the neighborhood or a condo association. Perhaps you are back from an afternoon at the beach, or it’s after dinner – the pool is a great place for the kids (and adults) to enjoy themselves without the need to organize an expedition.
For your convenience, the Pelican has beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach towels and a wagon to transport them to the beach. If you wish, you can rent a street legal electric golf cart. So, why settle for a cramped condo? This beautiful 2020 sq. ft. resort home with a nautical/beach decor features 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, large living and family rooms, ceiling fans in every room and a few pelicans here and there, just to remind you to kick back, relax and take life easy, at least for this week. If you need to connect with the outside world, we offer free high-speed wireless Internet.
After a fun-filled day at the beach, you may want to cook a family BBQ on the gas grill or take an easy stroll to a seafood restaurant right on the gulf. Captain Dave's, less than 4 blocks from the house, offers great seafood, with a dining room overlooking the ocean. Kenny D's, right across the street from Captain Dave's, has a Cajun menu. Two other good oceanfront seafood restaurants, The Crab Trap and Pompano Joe's, are a short drive down the beach to the west and east. And, of course, the Destin area offers loads of dining establishments, from fast food to fine dining. You'll find menus and directions to many of them at the Pelican.
The Pelican's Elbow is within minutes of all that Destin has to offer -- shopping at the largest designer outlet mall in the USA, world famous deep-sea fishing, dolphin watching cruises, romantic evening ocean cruises and other entertainment and amusements for the whole family, such as water parks, parasailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking and much more. The Destin area is home to a dozen fine golf courses. A zoo, museums, and several state parks with walking and biking trails are located nearby. Rental rates are for up to 8 people. The home sleeps up to 12, so add $105/week ($15/night) for each additional person over age 2.
Pets are welcome with prior approval. The rate is $125/week for one pet; $225/week for two, nightly $20 each.

Terms & Conditions
|
Half of rent is due upfront to secure reservation. The remainder of the rent, plus 11% FL tax, a $195 cleaning fee, pet fees, a $500 security deposit (more for pets), is due 30 days prior to scheduled arrival. Security deposits will be refunded 2-3 days after checkout if home is left in the condition it was found and all rental policies are followed.
We rent to responsible student groups of up to 12 with a $100/person damage deposit and $210 cleaning fee.
All reservations during Spring Break and Summer seasons are from Saturday (4 pm check-in) to Saturday (10 am check-out).
